Sadly, last Sunday saw the last matches of the season being played. We hope you have all really enjoyed the season and well done for playing some fantastic netball. Win or lose, you held your heads high and made the coaches very proud! We would like to say a special ‘thank you’ to parents, friends and carers who have brought the girls to matches no matter what the weather. It wouldn’t be the same without your support. We finally got round to taking team photos – see each individual team page.
Over 40 girls took part in the Christmas social event at Airhop in December. It was a great opportunity for the girls to get to know other players outside of a netball environment and also to have lots of fun at the same time! Lots of bouncing, jumping and dodging took place and we are pleased to report that there was not one single injury! The evening was rounded off with pizza and a couple of games in the party room.
Bradley Stoke Juniors were once again asked to be Ball Girls at the pre season Superleague tri tournament on Saturday 14th November. This was a mini tournament with Team Bath, Surrey Storm and Hertfordshire Mavericks at University of Bath and a great opportunity to watch some top class netball as well as be part of the event. We took 13 girls along and they performed their ball girl duties in a very professional manner. It was a long afternoon with three matches taking place and the girls were able to meet players and have photos taken afterwards. Thank you to all the girls who came along – you did us proud!
A great result! The team came an impressive 2nd in Division 2 and recently attended the Avon AGM to pick up their runners up medals.
The team began the season as a mix of fairly experienced players and players who had come straight from primary Hi 5 netball, but it didn’t take long for them to gel and really work well together. They played some fantastic netball, scoring an incredible 385 goals – the highest out of all the U14’s divisions. Well done to you all for an amazing team effort.
BSNC Juniors were very lucky to have the opportunity to be ‘Ball Girls ‘for Team Bath at their Superleague match against Team Northumbria on 13th March. We were only able to take 12 girls to the game and had thought we might have to pull names out of the hat, however we had exactly 12 girls who volunteered for the job! The girls had a great night watching the game and then afterwards meeting the players, collecting autographs and having lots of photographs taken. Thanks to Lyn Moreton who organised this event with Team Bath and to Lyn and Karen for chaperoning the girls on the night.
